February seems like such a dismal month, i think. The weathers grey and dreary, Christmas has been and gone, and summer seems oh so far away....
But.
February 16th is my birthday!!
I'm 20 this year, so i'll be waving a fond farewell to my teen years!
I'm flying out to spend it with my dad on the 14th, now the only decision left is...
chocolate or vanilla cake? haha!
Anyway, as january is over why not have a little rundown of things i've adored lately.
To treat myself today i've also had a haircut and my nails shellaced, i'll let you know how i find it.
I love this jumper from h&m, i like quite plain, subtle pieces and you cannot go wrong with a classic black sweater, the detail around the neck adds interest without being too in your face, a good purchase i think!
I LOVE these primarni booties, they're so cosy!
Valentines chocolates, i'm so glad all the v'day and easter supplies are out, two words;
mini.
eggs.
I also read this book, as a result of which i've made a few changes and i feel so much better for it, i've given up red meat,
(trying) to give up soda,
switched to brown bread/pasta/rice,
made a conscious effort to try more meat free options,
and i've cut the majority of dairy out of my diet,
i do still eat cheese though but very little at a time, i switched to 'vitalife' sunflower spread, sweetened soy milk, soy puddings, 'free from' ice cream.
I highly recommend this book, i am and always will be a meat lover, and i didnt think i would take much notice of the book, but it really has made a difference to me.
I've decided that every month i'm going to set myself 3 targets/goals;
For february these are...
1. Work myself harder at swimming, i've found i have a tendency to do a length or two then stop and have a chat with Yaisa, then do another two, then stop!
2. Read at least 2 books, i used to read so much and i just havent had the time nor the inclination lately, preferring instead to play on world of goo, sims or virtual families!
3. Get into a good sleeping pattern, i'm currently writing this at 20 past 1 am, i'm going to aim to be in bed by 11.30 every night... lets see how that one goes...
