Visit London thriving Creative Arts quarter in East London the Old Truman Brewery on the Brick Lane for the sought after Vauxhall Art Car boot Fair. Now in its seventh year the event was set up by Karen Ashton & Helen Hayward in 2003 as an energised events that celebrate art and frivolity and present artists and artworks in interesting and involving ways to their audience. This annual event has surely paid off billed as an "an eccentric take on the traditional car boot fair" Telegraph 2011. Will highlight UK artistic talent in the lead up to the 2012 Olympics whilst guaranteed to appeal to a broad audience, not forgetting an ample opportunity to buy a key art piece this Father's day.


This year Turps Bandana an innovative and highly collectible painting magazine collaborates with art world class legends Damien Hirst, Marcus Harvey, Ryan Mosley and the chapman brothers to present 75 limited edition prints for sell, and yes true to the name of the event, out of the back of a Vauxhall. Also Artist and Designer David David collaboration with furniture designers Glass Hill will also be on offer.


Female Artists/Designers dominate this year Julia Royse will be collaborating with emerging British talent "The Girls" artists Andrea Blood and Zoë Sinclair will transform a Vauxhall vehicle into a wonderful interactive piece of postal heritage. Buy works by 2010 Turner Prize Winner Angela De La Cruz sold by Jane Simpson also locate Pam Hogg launching her new limited edition tax holder and Tracey Emin Stationary.

The 2011 East London event will also include top named talents including, Gavin TurkBob and Roberta SmithOliver Guy WatkinsJessica VoorsangerPure Evil,Pete FowlerJessica Albarn, and Guts for Garters who will all be selling works of art from their own car boots.


Prices at the event range in the region of £10-£1000 with over 70 pitches on offer expect to haggle and enjoy some serious bargain hunting. In between join in the entertainment suitable for the whole family, with live entertainment, food and drink on offer provided by St John’s Bread and Wine’s famous ox-heart buns and the Southampton Arms. 


The day promises to combine art, glamour, fashion, glitter and vintage also take the opportunity to smash some china whilst your there courtesy of Cinemoi Can Can Girls! Whilst your there get stuck into some artistic endeavours of your own.
